A fresh start. With a lesson attached.
Personal note · 30 September 2026 · Bob Goedkoop
My website disappeared after an accidental deletion. Rebuilding it is a good moment to think about what belongs here.
I accidentally deleted my own website. An awkward moment for someone who works in software engineering, and a useful reminder that personal projects deserve care too.\n\nThe old site is gone. This one is a fresh start.\n\n## What belongs here\n\nMy work centres on C# and .NET development. I want this space to reflect that foundation, along with my growing interest in software and solution architecture and technical team leadership.\n\nThe blog will be a place for notes about development, design decisions and the things we learn while working together.\n\n## The lesson I am keeping\n\nA backup is only useful if you can restore it. That is an easy principle to agree with, and an uncomfortable one to be reminded of by your own website.\n\nFor now, I am glad to have a place to start writing again.
